- My motto – Let’s tackle those nutritional barriers! I can’t tell you how many clients I have chatted with during my 17 year career and they say something along the lines of “I know I’m giving you lots of excuses.” My favorite aspect is helping clients determine their mindset. Excuses = I can’t. Nutritional barriers = how can I? The thoughts we allow to dominate our minds will dominate our actions.
- My “why” – There are so many aspects that dictate our food choices. In my early career, I gained a deep understanding of the challenges people face while attempting to incorporate healthy food choices into their daily routines. I have developed keen insight into helping clients identify nutritional barriers and implement small, simple, strategic changes that positively impact health outcomes. Most importantly, this approach decreases mental noise surrounding food choices and produces long term success. My core “why” is to provide accountability, support and guidance throughout the process.
- My credentials: I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from Carson-Newman University and completed a distance internship through the State University of New York: Oneonta. I am a Registered Dietitian and licensed in Tennessee and Kentucky.
- Favorite allowance: Crumbl cookies
- Favorite recipe ingredients: chicken and black beans
- Favorite outdoor activity: hiking…anywhere…just give me a mountain! They speak to my soul.
- A personal touch: I’m a mom of three boys and while I grew up a super girly girl, I’m fully emersed in a world of hunting, fishing, farming, camping, and all things boys!

- My motto – Knowledge is Power and Be Realistic! Change happens when we set small, realistic goals that work with your life, your schedule, your family and your preferences. Change happens when we understand why we need to make changes. I love to see client’s faces light up when they learn something new. It clicks. And then they are able to decide if they want to make a change or not. Because now, they understand why making a change is beneficial and have the motivation to do it.
- My “why” – I have always had a passion to help people. I was on my way to a nursing school when I took a prerequisite nutrition course and I fell in love.
- My credentials: I am a registered and licensed dietitian with over 12 years of experience in nutrition education and counseling. I have a bachelors degree in Human Ecology and Nutrition from the University of Tennessee and a masters degree in Clinical Nutrition from East Tennessee State University. I have had the honor and great pleasure of working with clients ranging from infancy to adulthood and specialties ranging from weight loss surgery to addiction recovery.
- Favorite allowance: Chocolate!
- Favorite recipe ingredients: Apples and eggs
- Favorite type of movement: Walking and running outside and body pump
- A personal touch: I am a wife to my highschool sweetheart and a mother to my three precious children. I am all about my faith, family, friends and food! I am a real person with real struggles and I have to remind myself to live by God’s grace, and not perfection!

- My role: I assist the practice with administrative tasks, office communications, and key projects. I’ll be the voice you hear on the phone if you call the office (not to be confused with Krystal with a K!). If you have any questions regarding our practice, need to schedule or reschedule an appointment, I’m only a phone call or text away!
- A personal touch: I live with my husband, 3 dogs and 3 cats. We enjoy spending time with our 15 grandchildren. I love animals and find great joy in spending time in nature. My family and I moved to East Tennessee a little over a decade ago and have truly fallen in love with the area’s natural beauty and welcoming community.

Krystal has truly been a game-changer for me. She’s helped me build a realistic routine that makes incorporating healthy foods into my daily life feel achievable instead of overwhelming. I appreciate her guidance, encouragement, and support more than I can say.

Krystal has been my dietitian/nutritionist for 14 years. She is a wonderful source of knowledge and help. She always goes above and beyond to make sure I have all the needed information to be successful in my journey. Being a post-bariatric surgery patient for 14 years, I can honestly say I still learn something new every time I meet with Krystal. She is also a great motivator. You found the right person for your nutrition journey.

If you are looking for someone who supports you no matter where you are AND gives you tips and advice to get you where you want to be, look no further. Krystal was there for me at my lowest and coached me to make better food and overall health decisions. All the while, she never berated me on my bad days, only encouraged me to make different choices next time! I feel blessed to have such a committed motivating dietitian/nutritionist!
